RIGA - At an emergency meeting on Nov. 20, the Latvian government discussed making even deeper cuts to next year’s budget. The 2010 budget was already drastically slashed to bring it in line with IMF and EU requirements. The government is now looking at a further 55 million lats in cuts.

VILNIUS - Lithuania has seen its first death from swine flu after a 14-year-old boy passed away on Nov. 18. The boy passed away in Kaunas, Lithuania’s second largest city.

I have not read or seen anything about the people in T&T getting the H1N1 vaccination, did the government order any vaccination to protect the population? After all many people died in Mexico earlier in the year. I think the people have a choice to get the vaccination.
